Along with our Sunday services, we also have midweek services at Hope Church:
Morning Prayer - Weekdays
09:15 Monday & Saturday
08:30 Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
At these services we meet to pray together a short 'office' and give considerable time to pray for the life and ministry of our churches too. If you have a particular prayer request please do get in touch.
Midweek Holy Communion
Every 2nd Thursday of the month at 13:30 in Hope Church
Sunday Services
All Age Service
A shorter service which picks up a theme from either one of the day’s set readings or from matters of particular interest. It aims to be of interest to members of the congregation of all ages and involvement by children and adults alike is welcomed. The service lasts approximately 45 minutes and begins with or is followed by refreshments. In Hope, our All Age Service has now become Hope.4.All.
Holy Communion
This is a service of thanksgiving ('Eucharist') where we remember Jesus sharing a meal with his followers shortly before his death and asking them to go on doing this in remembrance of him. The pinnacle of the service is the sharing of bread and wine. Members of all Christian churches who normally take communion in their own church are welcome to join us in taking communion, including children with parental support. More information below.
Morning Worship
A non-communion service of Morning Worship is held each month at Hope. It consists of prayers, hymns, Bible readings and a talk.
Evening Prayer
A non-communion service of Evening Prayer. It consists of prayers, hymns, Bible readings and a talk.

What is Holy Communion?
Holy Communion (or Holy Eucharist) is a service of thanksgiving ('Eucharist') where we remember Jesus sharing a meal with his followers shortly before his death and asking them to go on doing this in remembrance of him. The pinnacle of the service is the sharing of bread and wine, representing the once and for all sacrifice that Jesus made on the cross for us in giving up his body and shedding his blood for the forgiveness of our sins. Anglican teaching is that Jesus is truly present in the bread and wine of the eucharist and by sharing the bread and wine we can share in Jesus' resurrection. As Christians we believe that He is the one who provides all we need. He gives us the physical food that we need to survive and the spiritual nourishment we need to keep taking next steps with Him.
