Welcome

As we worship from our homes during the Epiphany Season this January, may you know the light and hope of Christ in your lives, from all at Hope & Emmanuel Churches
"Arise, shine; for your light has come and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you".  Isaiah 60:1
Welcome to Hope Parish Church (St Cynfarch's) and to Emmanuel Church, Penyffordd.

We belong to the Borderlands Mission Area in the Diocese of St Asaph (NE Wales), within The Church In Wales.

We hope that you have had a happy, safe and blessed Christmas.  We recognise that the present is a difficult time for many.  If you have any requests for prayer please do get in touch.  We would love to pray for you.

You are very welcome to join us for Sunday Worship online at 11am on Facebook (traditional service) followed by Zoom Coffee and or at 4pm for the All Age Service on Zoom.  Please contact us for the Zoom links.  We are currently in Tier 4 Lockdown in Wales and whilst we remain open for funeral services (attendance by invitation of the family only), to play our part in keeping everyone safe, we are currently following Diocesan advice to suspend all other onsite church services in January.

When we do gather in church, to help us ensure social distancing in our church services,  please reserve your seat(s) in advance.
Click here to find out how we will keep you safe.

The January Hope4All Magazine is available now from our churches and the The Hub (aka Lion Stores/ Post Office) in Hope village.  Click here to subscribe and download the April to July 2020 editions, made available for free during Covid-19.

Hello!  I'm Adam, the Rector here, and enjoy being a part of such a lively worshipping community.  There is always someone to meet and or something to discover or do here - you are most welcome to visit and see for yourself!

We are ordinary people, who love to celebrate together the highs of life and try to hold together through the lows of life.  Understanding ourselves to be God's people too, we are here to love God and serve our local community as best we can with the good news of Jesus Christ and his "Hope For All" people.

Thanks for looking us up and we look forward to welcoming you.

January Rector Writes

Adam reflects on our Christmas services of 2020, and invites us to try the Daily Hope (0800 804 8044) and Dial-a-Church-Service (01244 566311) telephone lines, where we can listen to pre-recorded church services from the comfort of our own phones at home...

Our Heritage

Dave Healey reflects on the history of Hope Community Library and how it is now starting to operate again in 2021.

A big thank you to everyone who has helped to construct the
Christmas Nativity Crib and Churchyard Lights this year!
