On Epiphany Sunday 5 January 2020, Hope.4.All - our weekly Hope Church Event at 4 o'clock for All Ages - turned 2 years old!
Our all age congregation, that now has an average attendance close to 40, gathered together after church for hot food and cake to celebrate! As well as good food, we had pool, table tennis and table tennis on hand too. We enjoyed our celebration and time together so much that we've decided to do it again! Save the date! We'll be next eating after Hope.4.All on 1 March and 3 May. Have you yet tried Hope.4.All? We meet every Sunday at 4pm in the church for hot drinks and refreshments, before gathering together in the main aisle for worship. We sing new worship songs and Christian band music, pre-recorded or led by Claire on piano and Nigel on guitar, before listening to the Bible together and dividing into our three groups for teaching - adults, under-10s and 10-13s. (The latter two groups now use the Scripture Union, Splash and The Grid, material). 20 minutes later we come together again for more singing and time for prayer. We usually finish between 5pm and 5:15pm and always by 5:30pm. Our goal and aim at Hope.4.All is to provide worship that is cutting edge and relevant to all generations, and that is accessible to those who have no faith, some faith or lots of faith, because we believe that Jesus himself 2,000 years on, is very much still, for all generations - past, present and future!
