What a delight to be in the audience for Borderlands Mission Area’s production of “Moses the Pantomime”. This marvellous show presents the story of Moses in pantomime format with Hope Church’s worship leader and choir member, Chris Rees, in the cast. In fact he has a very important part … Pharaoh who, as the pantomime villain, gets lots of boos!
The show includes all you would expect in a pantomime … singing, dancing, comedy … and is marvellous family entertainment performed by people of all ages The pantomime’s opening show was in Penyffordd and it now ‘goes on tour’ to Shotton and to Buckley. Congratulations to all who have worked so hard to put on this production including of course Revd Gill Stanning who wrote, produced and directed the show. Proceeds from ticket sales are going to the Diocesan Charity of the Year, The Alzheimer’s Society.

Our new Hope.4.All service is now one month old, and with so much going on - you just have to be there to experience it!
Each service has been planned to suit all ages, in Hope Church at 4pm. Every service starts with refreshments for everyone, and a chance to catch up on the week. The services involves lots of interactive aspects, including where the congregation are able to share news from the week. The younger members of the congregation go and spend some time doing some fun activities while those remaining listen to a sermon. We also now have a 3 piece band, who are playing more modern worship songs, including some we are able to dance too! With Claire on the keyboard, Nigel on the guitar and one of our younger members on a drum box. If you would like to take part, please speak to Claire. The feedback has been fantastic so far, with many enjoying the relaxed feeling of the service. Have you been to one of our Hope.4.All services? Let us know what you though! If you would like any more details, please send us a message through the contact page. |
